Bellville Golf Club is located in the Welgemoed Valley, Bellville, in Cape Town, and offers a beautiful, fairly challenging 72 Par (6000m) course, with well-placed bunkers, a few water holes and manicured fairways and greens.
The course was opened in 1958 as a 9 hole course designed by Bob Grimsdell, was upgraded by course architect Bill Kerr, and improved by Mark Muller, to become the player-friendly 18 hole course of today.
Bellville Golf Club facilities:
- Golf Shop – exclusive stockist of Swagg Clothing, as well as other golf shirts, jackets, pants, Footjoy Shoes, golf apparel (caps, towels, socks, belts, umbrellas) and consumables (balls, gloves, tees) at competitive prices.
- Bar Facilities – two fully-stocked bars, one in Halfway House area and the other in the Main Function room.
- Catering & Venue Hire – The Halfway House serves a variety of breakfasts, burgers, sandwiches, wraps, etc; Fairways Restaurant has a buffet menu available every Sunday, and also caters for private/corporate functions, conferences, weddings, etc.

The Bloemfontein Golf Club standard is important to the members and we strive to improve the condition to offer a course that is a challenge off the back tees as well as being playable off the other tees. The Bloemfontein Golf Course has been the host to the Vodacom Origins of Golf Tournament on the Sunshine Tour for the past 5 years and we are honoured to have hosted numerous inter provincial tournaments over the last 10 years. The Bloemfontein Golf Club is a member based club and we are proud to host many corporate days of the leading companies in Bloemfontein.
Dresscode: Club House
- Shirts must have a collar. (no t shirts)
- Long trousers. Jeans are allowed (no tracksuit pants)
- Short pants (no rugby shorts or running shorts)
- Shoes / sandals
